Repetitive Stress Injury, or R.S.I. is something that most of us have heard about but tend to dismiss. Most of us know someone who has had to get surgery for carpotunnel syndrome. Or we have seen or heard of ergonomic designed chairs, desks, and computer keyboards. But it something that we general dismiss not give a second thought. However each year millions of man hours are lost due to preventable repetitive stress injuries.
A lot of bloggers myself included spend vast amounts of time in front of their computer screens happily typing away. I am particularly bad for this because when I get coding (I feel there is a huge difference between programming and coding - perhaps this will be a future post) it is not all that uncommon for me to put in 20 + hours at the keyboard with out a break. In my younger days this never seemed to bother me. However as I age I notice that my eyes, fingers and even sometimes my arms feel the strain from these coding marathons. When you are in pain or uncomfortable it can make it difficult to concentrate and both your creativity and production drop. In today’s post I am going to give you some tips to prevent repetitive stress injuries when it come to working with a computer.

Admit it you could not wait for Sexy Pirate Women - Lesson Two in Keywords. Well in this lesson we are going to look at how and why to use keywords. If you haven’t read the first part of this I suggest you do — Pirates are Sexy - Lesson One in Keywords.
As I am a blogger and the majority of my readers are bloggers I am going to focus on using Keywords from a bloggers perspective (however if I keep doing Sexy Pirate Women posts my traffic demographic may change). It is still my belief that no matter what you do in your blog, in the end good content will get you more traffic and regular readers than anything else you can do. But you have to let people know that your content is there, and that is the job of the search engines. However if you use keywords properly you help the search engines along.

I frequently get asked what web sites I use as resources when I use Adobe photo shop and if I can pass them along. Well the truth is I have over two hundred different sites book marked in my photoshop resources folder. Now some contain multiple different tutorials and some are just photoshopped images that I use as reference. So to pass these one would be quite useless.
Instead I thought I would present a list of sites I submit my tutorials too after I write them. Now this is only a partial list, but these sites have many tutorials listed. In some cases the tutorials may be repeated from site to site. That is because other photo shop tutorial publishers like myself tend to submit their tutorials to all these sites. Any ways lets get on with the list.

White boards, you have all seem them somewhere or other. You know the white shiny surfaces that you use dry erase markers to write on. The black board of today, only its white and requires none of that dusty chalk.
I love white boards, at just about every professional software development job I have worked at I have had a white board in my office as well as white boards in conference rooms and meeting rooms. To me they have become indispensable when it comes to planning out a project or just brain storming.

One thing I have really enjoy recently from being part of EntreCard is the community aspect of it. I have found several blogs that I read on a regular basis. After reading these blogs its like to kind of know these bloggers and even consider them friends.
Well up until now I have never been “tagged” in a meme. That is until just recently when Geek Mom from Geek Mom Mashup tagged me with this meme.
Now a meme is kind of like a chain letter so for those of you I tag I hope you don’t get offended and I understand if you do not want to participate. But I would encourage you to give it a try who knows it might generate you some traffic.
