What is the significance of having page rank? Is it going to be the rank on your google searches?

Does page rank influence the amount of traffic that you will get in a page? I am not so sure how it works but you cannot really see page ranks among SERPS

If your blog is only a month old I would be surprised if you had any page rank other than zero.
