Branding is everything when you're trying to make it to the big time or at least mainstream (so to speak). I think you'd need to invest a good amount into this, it's an investment not to be regretted though i'd be thinking. On your personal issues on marketing your software you are right that the TC domain and name are already known. Plus you are absolutely correct about it being to misspell and rather long. I think I would invest a little on a custom logo and design for a new theme for your software. There are some great companies out there who can help you get something that is still cool and affordable.
