Here is a tip someone gave me that will help push you up in the rankings on RSSHugger- and yes it does work. Stumble your RSS page- the one with the name of your website at the end. Someone did this for me and I received over 100 subscribers in 24 hours. I haven't been to the site for a while so I don't know where I am or if there is anything in the TOS that says you can't do that, but at one point I was #8- it's worth a shot. I like EntreCard. So far it has been the best traffic generation program I have tried. But I thought what the heck might as well give RSSHugger a try too.

Mh, if noone checks those links that pop up over there, noone clicks it.
Same with Qassia I guess.

Difference at entrecard is, that you have to do something, imho get some traffic as well.
Some of it even sticks.
Just makes more sense to me.

Ben, it took about 24 hours for me to get approved and on the list. Though I have notice the speed at which new blogs seem to be trying to get on, the admin may be getting swamped (I was just under the 500 mark, and it's at 752 now, after about two-three weeks). I don't recall getting an email, just sending them one with a link, that I had reviewed the site. I noticed I was on, I d not recall actually being told. Nicole, I'm too small to be ranked right now, as far as I can tell, so I have no way of knowing if it affected me good or bad. It is kind of a set it and forget it site though. It just automatically lists your posts everyday. Once you have the code on your site, you do not have to do anything, so time wise, it does not take any at all, once you get set up. Did you see a change in your google ranking?

Since my experience with blogrush (or maybe just a google bumby two weeks = coincidence?) I’m a bit more careful with these things.

And their lack of explaining the procedure, especially the blog post thing just threw me off.

How long does it take for them to read your post on RSSHugger and approve your site? Do they send an e-mail once they approve or disapprove your site?

Nicole, basically it ranks you by how many people view your blog from their site...the more visits you get, the higher ranked you are, which means you are more likely to get viewed by more people. They reset the rankings every month, so that new blogs also have a chance of getting into the Top 100, by preventing the top blogs from always staying at the top. They level the playing field. I've been on rssHugger for a little longer than I have Entrecard, and I consistently have stayed in the top 50, for the month of January. However, I've actually had more traffic from Entrecard, by about 3-to-1. Steve's last blog post..Patience, patience, and yes, more patience.
